Dan Baker

Dan Baker serves as the minister of music at First Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas. He has directed the Panhandle Chapter of Singing Men for over a decade.

Before his call to full-time ministry, Dan enjoyed a ten-year career in public education, teaching secondary
level choirs. He received a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Texas Christian University and a Master of Arts in Worship Studies from B.H. Carroll Theological
Institute.

He has enjoyed a career as a soloist and choral singer in Christian and Classical groups in Texas, and has been a guest singer, director, and clinician with various state
and church music ministries throughout the South.

Dan and Jodi married in 1992, raised three wonderful children, and are now enjoying the
grandparent life.
